Brigham Young University American Folk Ensemble - Utah
Brigham Young University American Folk Ensemble, in short BYU American Folk Ensemble, is connected to the same-named university in Provo, Utah. They were the first non-European group ever to perform at our festival in 1964. This ensemble, too, has a special bond with Schoten. Through exhilarating dances and music they tell the rich cultural history of the USA . They perform a diverse program of classic Southern waltzes as well as square dancing and clogging . The group is accompanied by the BYU Mountain Strings band whose infectious repertoire gets everyone on the dance floor!
