KwaMashu Community Arts and Dance Academy

KwaMashu Community Arts and Dance Academy -AMA-ZEBRA (Folklore Dance Ensemble) a member of a National Organisation of South African Traditional Fair Association (SATFA)/FIDAF /CIOFF & IOV South Africa National Chapter was inaugurated in the year when South Africa got the first democratic government led by President Nelson Mandela and also Performed for his INAUGURATION. Over the past years this Folklore Dance Ensemble has afforded opportunities to young South Africans who pursuits creative arts ranging from grass roots to professional excellence. The ensembles of more than 30 performers under the Director George Oliphant are all multi-talented and originates from the North Region of Durban Township called Ntuzuma in the Kingdom of Kwa-Zulu-Natal. Our first tour undertaken to the Spanish festivals, since then we have toured extensively to Theatres, Festivals, Competitions and Educational Institutions throughout the European Countries as Follows: United Kingdom: Portugal: Spain: Hungary: Italy : Germany: Taiwan: France: Slovakia: Croatia: United State of America and South Korea
